Former members of the force may belong to one or more branches of the Regimental Association. Each branch operates autonomously, but with reference to a Central Advisory Committee. Branches have elected committees and office bearers. Contact with branches is made through Hon. Secretaries of each branch:

The USA and Canada are both members of the UK Association. They have Regional Reps that can be contacted through the Regions page in United Kingdom under Associations.

BSAP British Citizenship Assistance

Certain persons who are grandchildren of former members of the force may qualify for British Citizenship.

The BSA Police was not a crown service, but in terms of the British Citizenship Act it may in certain circumstances be classified as a Designated Service.  Applicants need to engage with lawyers handling citizenship if they qualify.

Basically, the criteria are as follows:
• the grandchild (applicant) should have been born on or after 1 January 1983;
• his/her parent (the applicant’s parent) should have been born while the grandparent was in BSA Police service as a regular policeman (reserve service does not count); and
• the grandparent should have been born and recruited for service in the BSA Police in the United Kingdom.
