In Memoriam: Peter Williams 4499

Williams, Peter Robin Decoration, aged 76 (4499;  Constable; served from 8-Nov-1949 to 7-Nov-1952; last stationed Belingwe; member of the United Kingdom Regimental Associations) passed away 17 November 2025 at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.

4499 Peter Robin Williams passed away on 17 November 2025 at Hereford Hospital, Herefordshire, England. Peter attested in the BSA Police in November 1949 and was discharged in November 1952 with the rank of Constable. He thereafter joined the Northern Rhodesia Police finishing as an Assistant Superintendent at the Riverside Police Station in Lusaka. On his return to Rhodesia he joined Internal Affairs and served as District Commissioner in Mount Darwin and Bindura. In 1982 he joined the SADF Medical Service in Pretoria and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving 10 years, later, moving to the UK in 2010. Peter, a man of great principle, was a member of the British South Africa Police Regimental Association UK.

Dohery, Thomas Joseph ‘Tom’, aged 97 (4326;  Sergeant; served from November 1948 to August 1961; member of the Australia Regimental Associations) passed away 16 November 2025 at Perth, Western, Australia, Australia
Hon.Secretary Message:
It is with deep sadness that we advise the death of 4326 Tom Doherty in Perth on 16th November 2025. Tom was 97 and died peacefully at home, with his family by his side. Tom was an active and highly respected member of BSAP Western Australia, he will be sadly missed.
4326 DOHERTY Thomas Joseph served from 16th November 1948 until 31st August 1961, leaving with the rank of Sergeant.
