The inaugural meeting of the Western Cape Branch of the Association was held at the Tulbagh Hotel, Cape Town on 26 June 1969. Twenty one former members of the Force attended.

Over the years various venues were used for the monthly gatherings. On 2 February 1987 the Association was privileged to be granted permission by the International Police Association, Western Cape to use their “home” at Timour Hall Villa, Timour Hall Road, Plumstead, Cape Town for our social meetings.
