After Depot served in Chipinga, Inyanga, Nyanyadzi and Buhera all in Man. Prov. Then Belingwe in Mid. Prov. Then Mangula in Mash. Prov. Finaly Harare Central Investigation section in an administrative capacity. Whilst stationed in Inyanga married Veronika Brandl of Sanyatwe in the Inyanga District on 04.03.1972. My daughter Jolanda was born in Rusape on 17.08.1972 and my son, Rudi, was born in Salisbury on 25.07.1977. I was promoted to Insp. in 1982 and retired from the Force 14.07.1984. Left Zim. 2 weeks later and moved to Washinton, Tyne & Wear, England where we stayed for the next 3 years. Subsequently moved to Bregenz in Austria in July 1987 where we are to date. Both our children live close by and I now have 4 grandchildren. We consider ourselves very lucky to live where we do and have our whole family around us. Bregenz stands on Lake Constance and has a communal border with Germany, 5kms in one direction, Switzerland a similar distance on the other hand and Lichtenstein is approx. 25 kms away.
