I initially signed on for NS in January 75 with postings to SGU, Harare and Waterfalls then left the force once completing my year,afterwhich I decided to re-enlisted as a regular in July 76 after a couple of monthes of continious call up in Chirundu which was a lot of fun. From July 76 through July 78 I spent 2 great years in Salisbury Central Control Room 2 relief.Since then I have been living in the States. 1978-1990 in Houston Tx. and since then in Knoxville. Tn. where I am the Head Diving Coach at the University of Tennessee.I travel both the USA and world extensively and visit Zimb every couple of years. During my last visit in May 2001 I had the privilege of going by depot to see the BSAP museum which brought back many great memories.

Left Zimbabwe in Feb 1982 and came to the United Kingdom where I joined the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and am still currently serving in Plymouth.

Joined Nov 1961 and served a a cadet for 23 months in Mashonaland Records, Urban Records - with Const Hamley, then was the envy of the Cadets working with the WP.s in enquiry section, then Traffic (learned what life was all about under Neville (evil) Eva ) then S'Land, Salisbury Park then Mabelreign (one sugar for the pot ) then lived in Depot for a while after turning 18 working at PGHQ (records) waiting with 7027 Keith Rae for a recruit squad to be formed then for the second time had Barry Naylon as instructor ( I was the recruit who caused the DCI to charge into that Hawthorne Bush on that big grey of his and lived to tell the tale ) on finally getting out of Depot was-posted to Matabeleland and to District Police at Tjolotjo, Essexvale then to Chirundu and then finally managed to make it back to Salisbury and Hatfield. On leaving in Nov 1968 went to London (Eng) and worked at Kings Investigation Bureau in Chancery Lane for three years then immigrated to Sydney Australia. Married with three children and have built up a Company known as Coolpak manufacturing and marketing Popcorn Products in the Eastern States. Happy and keen to hear from any Ex BSAP.
